Mrs Mary Reekhaye
Oak Care Ltd
Mary Reekhaye is a qualified nurse and opened her first care home in Watford in 1983. She has since commissioned and opened a further five homes and over the years, has gained valuable experience and insight in caring for older people.
Oak Care Ltd was incorporated in March 2001, and is run as a family business. The company owns Cherry Tree Manor in Hemel Hempstead, which opened in 1996 and Oak Tree Manor in St Albans, which opened in 1998.
Oak Care Ltd’s ethos is to care for individual needs.
Our aim is to ensure that all residents retain their dignity and individuality and have the respect of those who care for them.
Mrs Carolyne Brown
Oak Care Ltd
Carolyne Brown has worked with Mary Reekhaye since 1992.
As well as Company Secretary, she is the Finance and Administration Manager for Oak Care Ltd. Carolyne has over 14 years banking experience and holds the Institute of Bankers Certificate in Finance, Economics and Banking Law.
Carolyne’s responsibilities include ensuring that the company’s financial and payroll records are fully compliant and that Oak Care Ltd adheres to current Employment, Company and Care Home Legislation and Regulations.
Carolyne works closely with Mrs Reekhaye and the home’s managers to ensure that all financial and administration matters are reviewed and remain up to date.
Oak Care Ltd
Nathan Reekhaye has worked for Oak Care Ltd for over 15 years.
He is one of the directors of the company and works closely and alongside his mother Mary Reekhaye.
He has become a vital part of the team, covering a range of roles within the business, with part of his job being to ensure that the homes run smoothly and that all parts of the business function well.
Zara Reekhaye & Selena Reekhaye are both directors of the company and take an active role in supporting their mother in the smooth running of the company.
Both have pursued careers with the NHS, where Zara have achieved a BSC In Health Services Management and Administration.
Selena has a keen interest in food and nutrition and holds a diploma in nutrition, which allows her to advise on the food for both homes.
Ms Carol Swendell
Carol Swendell joined the Company as Cherry Tree’s Registered Manager in 2005 and remained in post until becoming the company’s Operations Manager in May 2016. Prior to this, Carol worked in senior positions both in the community and in care home environments.
Carol has a wealth of experience in providing a high standard of care in a homely and person centred environment. Her current role includes monitoring the standards at Oak Tree Manor and Cherry Tree Manor, as well as giving support and advice to the Homes’ Managers.
